Pimples Coming In Clusters? What You Can Do

Blog

When you get tiny pimples on your face and they come in as a cluster, not just one pimple here or there, it may not be pimples at all. Instead, it could be a number of other things that are causing you this type of acne on your face. These small bumps may fade over a few days, only to return again later. This type of cluster acne can be treated, and there are things you can do to help with the treatment. Read on for some helpful tips.

Wash With A Gentle Cleanser

Scrubbing your skin isn't going to help with your acne — it's only going to make it worse. Scrubbing your skin with a harsh cleanser will only end up drying out your skin and leave you with more oil production, which will result in your skin breaking out more. Instead, wash your face with a gentle cleanser that cleans your skin and leaves it nourished. Your face shouldn't feel tight or dry after you wash it; it should feel refreshed and clean.

Use Oil-Free Products

Consider using only use products that are oil-free for your face. Products that are too oily, such as moisturizers, sunscreens, makeup, and other facial products can cause acne since your pores will be getting clogged or blocked. Only apply products that are oil-free.

Watch For Triggers

These acne clusters may be caused by other things such as the foods you eat, the habits you have, or stress. Keep an eye on the triggers that may be causing these acne breakouts and try to resolve them this way. For instance, if you break out every time after you drink wine, the wine may be causing this problem. Wine contains a lot of sugar, especially sweeter wines. Skip the wine and cut back on the sugar you consume to prevent these breakouts.

Keep Your Hands Off

Keep your hands off of your face when you have these breakouts. Scratching at your face or trying to pick at the acne bumps are going to cause these breakouts to worsen, or it can lead to more oil production on your skin. To remedy this, keep your hands off of your face and stop touching it for any reason, especially if your hands are dirty.

If your pimples are coming in as clusters on your face, it could be triggered by something else and you may need other treatment. Go to your dermatologist for help with this type of acne. Contact a company like Desert Dermatology & Skin Cancer Specialists for more information.
